Tournament Prizes

The SPS tokens in the Tournament Prizes inflation pool will be allocated to Splinterlands-sponsored tournaments as prizes which are available to be won by players based on their performance in the tournament. These new prizes may replace some of the DEC prizes for tournaments that are currently funded by Splinterlands (i.e. the portion that does not come from market fees or shop purchase), however the overall dollar value of weekly tournament prizes is not planned to be reduced from the current rate, and, if anything, it is likely to be increased as a result of this new pool of available prizes.
